Geographers’ A-Z Map Company has partnered with Envitia, providers of spatial information technologies to demonstrate the utilisation of the Internet of Things and show how it will advance first responders’ situational awareness during emergencies.
Envitia will be using their expertise in open geospatial software development and experience gained from working with the US Department of Homeland Security (Next Generation First Responder Programme) Pilot Project to integrate sensor data to transmit a responder’s state their location and access rules for getting to an incident in a GIS.
